Planting Instructions For Bareroot Roses

Step 1:
Step 2:

Step 3:

After unpacking roses SOAK THE ROOTS IN WATER OVERNIGHT
Dig a large enough hole to accommodate the roots, hold the rose upright in the middle of the hole and spread the removed soil over the roots. When the hole is half filled, tread lightly to firm the soil over the roots.
Completely fill the hole and tread the soil again to ensure that the rose will not rock side to side. Make certain that the point where the green stems emerge from the brown root stock is covered with soil.
Fertiliser can now be spread a hand's span away from the rose.
Work into soil. NEVER put fertiliser or manure in the hole when planting a rose as it will burn the roots. WATER regularly until rose is established.
